| The Boat |
| The Lucy Fisher is featured in the UK scenes as
Fred Karno’s private pleasure boat. The very eccentric
Fred Carno, famous for his riverside casino “Fred Carnos
Circus” discovered Charlie Chaplin in 1908. The young
ambitious Chaplin completes his audition for Karno by deliberately
tumbling into the icy wintry River Thames. |
| French Brothers |
| French Brothers were able to provide a plethora
of river based services in addition to the supplying of the
Lucy Fisher. The boat itself had to be extensively modified
to allow for its delivery to the selected riverside location,
Cliveden House. |
| We provided safety boats which are a vital health
and safety support facility for any river based film location. |
| Lord Attenborough was also provided with his own
Directors launch. French Brothers also provided a filming boat. |
